Here’s a new type of potato chip. It’s not like the normal type. The texture is different, as well as the flavor. My wife proclaims these as her current favorite. They were pretty good. The mix of black pepper and garlic is a perfect combination. You can’t really go wrong with that.
Old Hair
I spotted this sign the other day for a kimono rental/ hairdresser. The sign is so old that they’ve probably been using it since the 60’s.
All of the pictures have long since turned blue because of the sunlight.
Would you trust a hairdresser that advertises with this photo below?
Bad Judgement
How would you like to have nice, ancient, probably hundreds of years old grave site, and then have some moron city planner decide to put an ugly hydro pole next to it. I wonder if his ghost is haunting the city planner now. I would!
Kamaboko
I snapped a photo of this funny looking display in front of a kamaboko (fish cake) shop in Matsushima.
I thought the eyes and mouth on the fish cake were funny.
Marinpia
Yesterday we took a drive out to Matsushima to see the aquarium, Marinpia. I had never been to one before so I found it interesting.
They had all kinds of fish. Lots of strange looking ones.
Poisonous ones too.
They also had some black and white dolphins, which I had no idea even existed.
I got to see a seal show as well.
The penguins were cool too. They were so popular with the kids.
The jelly fish were beautiful.
I also snapped a nice close up of a sleeping crocodile.
It was a fun day.
Cashern
Check out this really cool Cashern T-shirt from Uniqlo. I think it goes really well with my two Gatchaman shirts. I was a little worried about the light blue color, but was entranced by the cool picture. Once again I couldn’t resist.
Kebab
Adding to my frenzied need for middle eastern food is the newest selection from Pringles. Beef Kebab! This just makes me want to visit Canada even more. Please Japan let more people from the middle east come to your country. I need their food! (And while your at it let some more Mexicans in too!)
Very Cute
These were brought in by some one at my work (either a coworker or a student). They’re probably the cutest rice crackers I’ve ever seen. I think they’re supposed to be seals or something.
Searching
Since finishing the video game version of crack, call Rittai Picross, I’ve been searching for new candidates for addiction. There are two I’ve been trying out, the first being “Knights in the Nightmare”.
Which is a strategy RPG, but the play mechanics are so weird. Think a combination of an old fashion space shooter, and a turn based strategy game. Add in lots of complex leveling and weapon system, and you have a really deep game. Check out the video below.
I know it looks crazy, but it makes sense if you actually play the game. The other game I’ve been playing is “Super Mario Land 2” for the old Game Boy.
I was inspired to play this thanks to the latest GameSpite book I received recently. So far it’s really fun, and kind of strange for a Mario title.
