Kewpie Meets Touch

As people who have been reading my blog for a while know I love the cell phone strap Kewpies mixed with famous manga characters. I picked up a new one at 7/11 since it was on sale. It’s Minami from the manga series “Touch”.

The series was extremely popular in Japan. It’s about twin brothers playing high school baseball (which is a huge deal over here). Minami was the childhood friend and love interest for the twins. Here’s a close up out of the package.

My wife said she looks “debu” which means chubby in Japanese. I replied “all Kewpie are debu”!

New Dragonball Goodness

There’s a new set of small Dragonball statues coming out soon. It cover the whole length of the series. It also seems to have a figure for pretty much every character. Even so strange minor characters. They look really cool, I might pick some up when they come out. It’ll probably be a random “what’s in the box” kind of thing. Sometimes I wish I could just choose the one I wanted.

Dishes!? Really!?

Here’s the other promo that Pepsi Nex is running right now. It’s a strange one for sure. You can guarantee I won’t be getting any of these. Royal Copenhagen dish fridge magnets. When I think of cola, images of dishes don’t come to mind.

I wonder who this is aimed at. I’m guessing house wives or maybe grandmothers. How can they do this on one hand and Be@rbricks on the other. Strange.

Dragonball Figure

I purchased this Dragonball figure a couple weeks ago. It’s one of those random box things that are popular over here. You never know what is inside. The figure I got was….

Goku’s dead grandfather (hence the halo) Son Gohan. It’s pretty nice and detailed, but I would have preferred Goku, Krillin or even Turtle Master.
