Expensive Pudding

My Father-in-law brought home this expensive pudding. It’s made in Zao, which is close to Zao mountain. It’s seems that Zao has a reputation for making high quality food. I had heard before that sausages from Zao Are also quite good. Pudding in Japan is a bit more firm and almost gelatinous, not like the more creamy pudding in Canada. It’s also almost always vanilla flavored, with some caramel syrup on the bottom, like in the picture below.

The only thing was, even though it was expensive, I couldn’t really taste a difference between it and the cheap stuff.
